It's costly to be unremarkable.

Get noticed—expose yourself.

'Still got money to spend and stuff to buy—then there's all that food to be eaten', in a week in which we're probably all busy and trying to relax, let's keep things light with a quick-fire series of bright'n'breezy entries—themed to 'getting your word out'.

First up, a simple & powerful quote to think about—a one-liner from Robert Stephens, founder of Geek Squad:

Advertising is the tax you pay for being unremarkable.

Something that's not done nearly enough by most of us, advertising is the make-or-break for any business. In no way optional, if you're in business you must advertise.

'B-b-but… this is Network Marketing, we do word-of-mouth referrals etcetera.' you say. 'Sure you do, ' says I, 'and you still gotta promote yourself through advertising.'

Don't believe me? Take a number and join the line of those failing in this business. You'll not be lonely—each day it grows by an estimated 23,500 (and that's just the US stats).

Of course, many of those folk advertised and still failed—that's life. More importantly, many of those failures could have been avoided with appropriate advertising… which of course would have cost money—but what cost do you place on a dead business and broken dreams?

So then, get noticed—expose yourself.
