The Renegade Network Marketer.
'An eye-opening message for frustrated Network Marketers…'
Having spawned a lot of cloned affiliate-linked pages, it's likely that you'll by now have encountered Ann Sieg's 'The Renegade Network Marketer'.
For those to whom this is unfamiliar, pitched as 'an eye-opening message for frustrated Network Marketers…' Renegade is briefly 'a why your business isn't working—and what to do about it' program comprising 'marketing pieces, emails, websites, training materials and resources' for $67.
When in my consulting & support business I'm asked 'is it any good?', I reply: 'I haven't seen enough to be sure, but it looks worthy of further exporation… and comes with a money-back offer, so try it and see'.
As taster, Sieg offers 'The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing'—a downloadable pdf lauded as '35 pages of no-holds-barred truth about the MLM industry. This is stuff your upline might not want you to see.'
In it, she outlines several notable 'lies':
- Lie #1 Everyone is your prospect!
- Lie #2 This really isn’t sales. We just share products with people.
- Lie #3 Anyone can do this!
- Lie #4 We’ll build your business for you.
- Lie #5 We have the best product ever!
- Lie #6 You just don’t have enough belief!
- Lie #7 The proven system.
She claims to have been a victim of every single one of them (I never knew any better because that’s all I’d ever been taught), and concludes: 'Almost everything you’ve ever been taught about building a Network Marketing business is pure BS!'
Sensible stuff? There's certainly no doubting that the seven above have a questionable relationship with the truth, and are too commonly used to part people from their money.
Although I've strong reservations on the hype with which Sieg peddles her stuff, it'd be churlish of me to not suggest: go see for yourself, and use your own best judgment to determine if it's appropriate for you.
And, in case anyone's wondering, 'credit where due' those links above are affilated—but not to ourselves… they're Fogg's (through whom I first became aware of Renegade).
