Don't leave me alone.

Hold me, kiss me, thrill me!

Referring to the building of his personal Network Marketing enterprise, in 'Mea culpa', Fogg has an interesting post today.

After claiming to 'have blown it' he quickly clarifies to makes the point of being too lax with 'his downline people'.

It's what I do (read haven't done) once people joined… I left it up to them. Guess what doesn't work?

Sure there are people on autoship. Some actually out building their business. A few might even become leaders sooner or (much more likely) later (much later). But as a group, they're not doing much of anything.

My approach was enlightened… I gave 'em all the resources, knowledge and skills they could eat. Outside of all that I told them all 'If you want me… I'm here. I'll help you do whatever you need and want—three ways, coaching, help you write copy or build your website.'

Didn't, doesn't work.

I know now that most people coming into this business need a track to run on: 30 days or six weeks or 90 days of 'getting started' step-by-step coaching/training… a simple customized plan (factoring in their time, talent, budget, skills, goals and dreams…) where they'll earn while they learn and get going building their business the best way for them and succeeding asap.

So, back to the drawing board.

Well worth a read and some thinking-time, as time permits, I'll add to this subject later in the week. Meantime, here's Fogg's original.
